Choucroute is the most traditional dish in Alsace, which is situated on the German border. It is made with sauerkraut cooked in wine, and combined with smoked ham hocks, sausages and potatoes.  Our choucroute ingredients are all sourced from our good friends at the German Butcher. Frankfurters and pork pieces and wood smoked the traditional way. You cannot dream of anything better when sharing a meal with friends on a cold winter night. Best to accompany with a crisp acidic white wine, such as Riesling. 800g, serves 2.

sauerkraut +

Exactly how I expected it to be with lot's of tasty sauerkraut and delicious enjoyable meaty bits and pieces. Good comfort food for those who enjoy well- flavoured sauerkraut and a good (well sourced) meat selection of generous ham hock and sausages.

NOT MY FAVOURITE

Very disappointed. The meat was very salty and did not have a lot of flavour. The best thing was the saeurkraut, but there was way to much of it. Everyone has different tastes, so this was just not to my taste.

Trip back to memory lane

I haven't had choucroute for close to 20 years, or since I left France to live overseas. I smiled the entire meal eating, and i couldn't stop raving to my kids about how authentic is taste! It's also very generously topped with heaps of sausages and meat. A real treat!

Choucroute

My favourite for the moment as it reminds me my family traditional dish during Christmas. Congratulations to the Chef
