Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen products. Once defrosted, cook, and consume within 48 hours.

Please note these cooking instructions are merely a guide as different ovens may vary the cooking times. Feel free to cook a little longer if you feel necessary. Our cooking durations may be a little less than needed as we want to avoid any dishes being overcooked or burnt.

Beef Bourguignon

From frozen, carefully place the bag into some boiling water from the kettle to thaw the outside so the stew can release from the bag. Gently pour into a saucepan, and heat slowly over low heat for approximately 15 mins or until it is warmed through and gently simmering.

From thawed, gently pour the contents into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat until gently bubbling and warmed through.

Beef Massaman Curry

Once defrosted, give the bag a good shake to homogenise the sauce. Empty into a saucepan and place over a gentle heat, stirring occasionally, till piping hot.  Alternatively you can empty contents into a microwave-safe container, and heat for 2-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until piping hot.

Serve with rice.

Chicken Leek and Dijon Casserole

From frozen, preheat the oven to 150C, place the casserole in your preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, then turn the oven to 180C and bake for a further 15 minutes until the sauce is starting to bubble over.

From thawed, preheat the oven to 180°C, place the casserole in your pre heated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the sauce is starting to bubble over.

If you want to test that the inside has warmed through, insert a temperature probe into the middle and check it has reached 75C. If the middle is not warm enough, place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or until bubbling over. Once you are happy that it is cooked, remove from the oven.

Perfect served with a side of green steamed vegetables, rice or couscous.

Beef Lasagna

From frozen, preheat the oven to 150C, remove the lid and place in your pre heated oven and bake for 35 minutes, then turn the oven to 170C and bake for a further 20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is starting to bubble over.

From thawed, preheat the oven to 170C, remove the lid and place in your preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is starting to bubble over.

Be sure to keep an eye on it as once it starts to bubble over you will know that it is ready. Make sure you don't let it bubble over for too long or you will lose the delicious juicy sauce and it may become too dry. If you want to test that the inside has warmed through, insert a temperature probe into the middle and check it has reached 75C. If the middle is not warm enough, place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or until bubbling over. Once you are happy that it is cooked, remove from the oven.

Let the lasagna rest for 5-10 minute before serving.

Great served with a side of green salad.

Discovery Pack…a great idea

We enjoyed the Massaman & Bourguignon & the Chicken Dijon. Generous serving & very tender. The Lasagna was enjoyable but very runny & unable to cut neat serve.
It was a good introduction to your meals & encouraged me to do another order.

Every meal so far has been very tasty. Directions to heat would be helpful. Portions are good. I think that Chicken in bite size is more appealing. Lasagne, though tasty was too cheesy for my personal taste. I would have preferred less meat with more pasta.
