Kangaroo Rump Stew with Illawarra Plum

When we asked Aunty Beryl and Chef Sebastien to come out with a stew recipe for winter, they did not hesitate for long and proposed this amazing Kangaroo rump stew with Illawarra Plums. The plums bring a sweetish, mild pine flavour to the dish. Product delivered frozen. 700g, serves 2.

Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen product. Once defrosted, cook, and consume within 48 hours.

From frozen, carefully place the bag into some boiling water from the kettle to thaw the outside so the stew can release from the bag. Gently pour into a saucepan, and heat slowly over low heat for approximately 15 mins or until it is warmed through and gently simmering. 

From thawed, gently pour the contents into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat until gently bubbling and warmed through. 

PLUMS CONTAINS SEEDS which are pretty hard.

Healthy meat presented in a very appetising recipe

I'm not a fan of plain kangaroo meat but this dish enhances the flavour with well-chosen indigenous and traditional Western ingredients. Congratulations to the Delidoor team for featuring Aunty Betty's knowledge, to our benefit

Perfect stew for winter

We had to try the new dishes in collaboration with Chef Aunty Beryl, such a great idea! And we weren't disappointed.
A perfect flavoursome stew for a hassle-free dinner between friends, with an Indigenous touch.
We had fresh gluten-free tagliatelles to accompany it, but it could be served on its own, and it was a big hit!
