Pork Ragu

$20.00

The ragù (whose name comes from the French word “ragoutier" and means “awake your appetite”) originated as a simple meat sauce that was served as an accompaniment to pasta dishes. This Pork Ragu is full of flavour and best served with Pappardelle or Tagliatelle. Product delivered frozen. 500g, serves 2.

Preparation, cooking and serving instructions:

Frozen product. The dish has to be defrosted before reheating. To defrost, place in the fridge for 24 hours. Once defrosted, reheat, and consume within 2-3 days.

For optimal results, we suggest reheating in a pot on the stove. If you're in a hurry, the microwave can also be a quicker option.

Into a saucepan: Empty into a saucepan and place over a gentle heat, stirring occasionally until piping hot.

In the microwave: Empty into a microwave-safe container and heat for 2-4 minutes, or until piping hot.

Best served with Pappardelle (available separately as a side) or Tagliatelle.

When serving, you can sprinkle some grated parmesan and fresh basil.

Tip: If you didn't have time to defrost in the fridge, carefully place the bag into some hot water from the kettle for a few minutes.

Love this dish

One of my favourite deli door offerings - delicious! This feeds me, my husband, 3 year old and 1 year old so it’s also very economical. I’m sure when they get a bit bigger I may need two, but for now it’s enough. They all devour it too! :)

Love this. I often add a bit more chilli to suit my taste preference.

A Little Bit Of Port Goes A Long Way In This Dish...

both hubby and I really enjoy the Pork Ragu - we've ordered it a few times and I either add some rice, or noodles or mash - depending on what's in the kitchen... tasty, not spicy which suits me - and so easy to prepare on the stove! Just the right about of pork to add more flavour...
