Description

Discover the vibrant, soulful flavours of our Carnita Pulled Pork with Mexican Beans and Basmati Rice. This meal is a symphony of carefully selected ingredients, each playing its part to perfection.

The star of the show, our succulent pulled pork, is slow-cooked to tender perfection, harmonizing beautifully with the rich, tangy tomato puree. A medley of colourful veggies - eggplants, zucchini, and red capsicum - add a delightful crunch and a dose of wholesomeness to this culinary masterpiece.

Our mixed beans, cooked to just the right texture, bring a traditional Mexican flair to the plate. The basmati rice, with its delicate aroma and unique flavour, serves as the perfect base to this ensemble, soaking up all the wonderful juices and flavours.

Every spoonful of this dish reveals a burst of spices - the smoky hint of paprika, the earthy cumin, and a kick from the red chillies. All these flavours are tied together with a dash of lemon juice and fresh coriander for that final flourish.

Like all Delidoor meals, our Carnita Pulled Pork with Mexican Beans and Basmati Rice is scratch-made in small batches by our expert chefs. Then it's snap-frozen to seal in the freshness and flavours until it's time for you to savour it at your convenience.

This meal is a celebration of quality, care, and culinary savoir-faire - just heat, eat, and let your taste buds embark on a delightful journey. Pair it with a fresh salad or some warm tortillas on the side for a complete dining experience. Bon appétit!

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. It is recommended to reheat from thawed.

Microwave:

From Frozen: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 6-7 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

From Thawed: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 3-4 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

Heating time based on a 1000W microwave. Microwave ovens vary, adjust timing accordingly. After reheating the content, the tray itself will be very hot. Once opened, use immediately. DO NOT REHEAT.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
