Description

Savour the warmth and richness of our Lentil Dahl, a heartening nod to the culinary traditions of India. Crafted with love and expertise, this meal is a beautiful medley of red lentils, simmered gently with aromatic spices like turmeric, cumin, and a hint of chilli. Each spoonful reveals the depth of flavour, with layers of onions, tomato puree, and a kick of fresh ginger.

In true Delidoor style, this dish is made from scratch in small batches, ensuring every bite is as delightful as the last. We've also added a generous helping of baby spinach for a nutritious twist, and a squeeze of lemon juice for that bright, tangy note.

As you tuck into this comforting dish, remember, it's not just food – it's a snapshot of an Indian tradition, brought to life with French savoir-faire. And the best part? This delicious dahl is snap-frozen at its peak, ensuring you get the taste and quality of a freshly cooked meal, right in the comfort of your home.

Pair it with a fluffy basmati rice or warm naan bread to soak up all that delightful sauce. Bon appétit!

Yes again

The lentils were chewy and the spices just enough to make it delicious. My kids loved it as well. Delicious with rice. I also liked that it wasn't too salty.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
