Description

Indulge in the heart-warming comfort of our Lentil Shepherd's Pie, a dish that truly celebrates the art of scratch-made cuisine. Crafted with culinary savoir-faire, this vegetarian delight is far from ordinary.

We've elevated the humble Shepherd's Pie by swapping out the traditional meat for a rich and hearty lentil base, simmered gently with a homemade tomato puree. This isn't just about swapping ingredients, it's about creating a symphony of flavours that sing in harmony.

Our chefs hand-pick sweet potatoes and fresh tomatoes, blending them into the lentil mix to add a touch of sweetness that perfectly balances the earthy lentils. But the magic doesn't stop there. A layer of fluffy, golden potatoes, lovingly mashed and baked to perfection, crowns this pie.

And let's not forget the aromatic blend of mixed herbs, garlic, and a hint of cumin. These are the unsung heroes that bring depth and complexity to every bite. Each ingredient is thoughtfully chosen, each step meticulously executed, to ensure your meal is nothing short of extraordinary.

Just like all our meals at Delidoor, the Lentil Shepherd's Pie is prepared in small batches to preserve its homemade authenticity. Once it's ready, we snap-freeze it immediately to lock in the freshness and flavour. So, when you're too busy to cook but still crave something wholesome and delicious, our Lentil Shepherd's Pie is ready to rescue your dinner.

Serve this comforting pie with a crisp side salad or some steamed veggies for a complete meal that's not only satisfying but also nutritious. Bon appétit!

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
