Description

Introducing our Pea and Ham Soup, a heartwarming blend of tradition and taste that's perfect for those chilly evenings. Handcrafted in small batches, this soup is a testament to the art of scratch cooking.

The magic begins with a base of water, simmered gently with carefully chosen potatoes and peas. Our green peas are plump and vibrant, while the split peas lend a creamy texture that's simply irresistible. The star of the show, of course, is the succulent ham, cooked to perfection and adding a savoury depth to every spoonful.

A mirepoix of leeks and onions sautéed in olive oil brings a delicate sweetness to the mix, while a hint of garlic and a sprinkle of mixed herbs add that extra touch of home-style comfort. Seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper, this soup is a perfect balance of flavours.

Our Pea and Ham Soup is then snap-frozen, capturing all its goodness and freshness until you're ready to enjoy it. Just heat it up for a convenient, quality meal that will transport you straight to your favourite cosy corner. Pair it with a crusty baguette or a side salad for a complete, satisfying meal. Bon appétit!

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. The dish must be defrosted before reheating.

To defrost, place in the fridge for 24 hours.

Once defrosted, reheat and consume within 2–3 days.

Saucepan:

From Frozen, carefully place the bag into some boiling water from the kettle, to thaw the outside, so the soup can release from the sides of the bag. Gently pour into a saucepan, and heat slowly over low heat for approximately 15 mins or until it is warmed through and gently simmering.

From Thawed, gently pour the contents into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat until gently bubbling and warmed through.

Delicious

Delicious soup with a lovely hint of smokiness from the ham. Says it serves 3 but it served 2 of us as a meal with some crusty bread. Will buy again.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
