Description

Introducing our Soupe de Poisson - a delectable symphony of seafood with a touch of *Provençal* enchantment. Each spoonful is a testament to the artisanal, scratch-cooked quality that Delidoor is known for.

This isn't just any fish soup; it's a savoury celebration of the sea, brimming with squid, salmon, monkfish, and tuna, all swimming together in a delightful marinara mix. Add to this a medley of prawns and mussels, and you have an oceanic feast fit for Poseidon himself.

But what's a good soup without a little character? We've spiced things up with a dash of paprika and cayenne pepper, and added a sprinkle of fresh thyme for that aromatic flair. Our secret weapon, however, is the fennel - its sweet, anise-like flavour beautifully complements the rich seafood broth.

And let's not forget the heartiness of potatoes and the natural sweetness of carrots and onions. All these ingredients are gently simmered together, allowing their flavours to marry and intensify. The result? A soup that's both comforting and sophisticated, perfect as a light main or an entrée.

Just like all Delidoor meals, our Soupe de Poisson is prepared in small batches and snap-frozen to seal in the freshness and flavour. It's the perfect choice for those busy nights when you crave something hearty yet refined. Pair it with a crusty baguette or a simple green salad, and voilà - dinner is served with a dash of French charm. Bon appétit!

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. The dish must be defrosted before reheating.

To defrost, place in the fridge for 24 hours.

Once defrosted, reheat and consume within 2–3 days.

Saucepan:

From Frozen, carefully place the bag into some boiling water from the kettle to thaw the outside so the soup can release from the bag. Gently pour into a saucepan, and heat slowly over low heat for approximately 15 mins or until it is warmed through and gently simmering.

From Thawed, gently pour the contents into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat until gently bubbling and warmed through.

Soup de Poisson.

Delicious but would be enhanced by a few scallops to become seafood chowder.

A special treat

A real winner. Reminded us of Marseille bouillabaisse. More than enough for dinner for 2.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
