Description

Say bonjour to the Chicken Cacciatore and Penne Pasta, a delectable dish that perfectly marries the warmth of home-cooked comfort with the finesse of chef expertise. This isn't your everyday pasta; it's an ode to good taste, lovingly cooked from scratch in small batches.

Imagine tender chicken thighs, simmered gently in a hearty tomato puree, their succulent flavours heightened by the subtle hint of fresh basil and thyme. Add to this, a generous toss of penne pasta, al dente to perfection, and you have a dish that's both satisfying and soul-soothing.

But wait, there's more. We've added a dash of white wine for that extra oomph, along with a sprinkle of vibrant red capsicum, crunchy onions, and ripe olives. A splash of wine vinegar brings out the zest, while a drizzle of olive oil adds a silky finish. And let's not forget the quintessential seasonings - a pinch of salt, a sprinkle of sugar, and a twist of pepper - all blending harmoniously to create a symphony of flavours.

The best part? This gourmet delight is snap-frozen at the peak of its freshness. So whenever you're pressed for time or simply craving some good food, just heat up this gem from Delidoor and savour the taste of quality and care. Pair it with a crisp salad or some crusty bread on the side for an effortless yet exquisite meal. After all, great food is all about simplicity, isn't it? And at Delidoor, we make simplicity deliciously convenient.

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. It is recommended to reheat from thawed.

Microwave:

From Frozen: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 6-7 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

From Thawed: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 3-4 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

Heating time based on a 1000W microwave. Microwave ovens vary, adjust timing accordingly. After reheating the content, the tray itself will be very hot. Once opened, use immediately. DO NOT REHEAT.

Yummy Cacciatore

I love the cacciatore main meal so I knew I was going to love this with pasta. Will be ordered again.

Not the best

The pasta was cooked perfectly. The dish was let down by very tough and dry chicken thigh meat, not very much of it and hardly any sauce. Could do this much better. Not recommended without improvement.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
