Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen product. Once defrosted, cook, and consume within 48 hours.

From frozen, carefully place the bag into some boiling water from the kettle to thaw the outside so the stew can release from the bag. Gently pour into a saucepan, and heat slowly over low heat for approximately 15 mins or until it is warmed through and gently simmering.

From thawed, gently pour the contents into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat until gently bubbling and warmed through.

My Carbonade Rollercoaster

So…I can cook…but in Summer it seems too much bother…When I saw the frozen Carbonade and the dark reddish colour of the sauce, I thought…Tant pis! They have used tomato in the recipe. That is not how you make a Carbonade☹️But then I tasted it! Delidoor definitely knows how to make an excellent Carbonade 😃 The flavours were deep and complex, the beef was fall apart tender. Only a long cooking time and and superior gastronomic know how can deliver something this tasty. Served with Paris Mash and haricots verts. Super!

Full of flavour and satisfying

Lots of beef chunks, very tasty gravy and generous serves for 2.
Sliced mushrooms in the gravy would be perfect, accompanied with mashed potato, green beans.
Really delicious!
