Beef Cottage Pie, serves 2

Embrace the cold weather with this traditional beef cottage pie topped with fluffy mashed potato. Product delivered frozen. 800g, serves 2

Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen product. Once defrosted, cook, and consume within 48 hours.

Please note these cooking instructions are merely a guide as different ovens may vary the cooking times. Feel free to cook a little longer if you feel necessary. Our cooking durations may be a little less than needed as we want to avoid any dishes being overcooked or burnt.

From frozen, preheat the oven to 150°C, place the pie in your pre heated oven and bake for 30 minutes, then turn the oven to 180°C and bake for a further 15 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is starting to bubble over. 

From thawed, preheat the oven to 180°C, place the pie in your pre heated oven and bake for
30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown.

If you want to test that the inside has warmed through, insert a metal skewer (or knife) gently into the middle and place the skewer against your lip to see if it is hot. Or if you have a temperature probe, insert the probe into the middle until it has reached 75°C. If the middle is not warm enough, place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or until bubbling over. Once you are happy that it is cooked, remove from the oven and allow to sit for a moment so it is not too hot.

Great served with a side of green salad.
