Description

Premium Italian Sausages with Home Made Onion Gravy is a nod to the rustic, hearty flavors of Italy, crafted with care in our kitchen. These sausages are more than just meat; they're a celebration of taste, made with only the finest ingredients.

To elevate this dish, Chef Sebastien has meticulously created a homemade onion and mustard gravy. This sauce, lovingly simmered and stirred, is the perfect companion to our succulent sausages. Its rich, velvety texture and robust flavour come from a blend of onions, wholegrain mustard, and a splash of white wine.

The sausages are gently pan-seared until they're beautifully browned, then simmered in the gravy until they're bursting with flavor. The result is a comforting, hearty dish that will make you feel like you're dining in a cosy Italian trattoria, right from the comfort of your own home.

Remember, these aren't just any sausages. These are Delidoor's Premium Italian Sausages with Home Made Onion Gravy - made from scratch, snap-frozen for freshness, and ready to warm your plate and your palate.

We suggest pairing this with a side of creamy mashed potatoes or a crisp green salad to balance the richness of the sausages and gravy. Bon appétit!

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. The dish must be defrosted before reheating.

To defrost, place in the fridge for 24 hours.

Once defrosted, reheat and consume within 2–3 days.

BBQ:

Heat up the BBQ and cook the sausages for 15 min turning frequently. It is recommended to bring the sausages back to room temperature before grilling them. Put the sausages aside and let them rest a few minutes.

Oven:

You can also cook in the oven for 13 minutes at 180°C. Put the sausages aside and let them rest a few minutes.

Sauce Pan:

Heat up a pan and pour the sauce into the pan, stir for a couple of minutes. Pour the sauce on the rested sausages.

Serving suggestion:

Serve the sausages with the warmed sauce poured on top.

New benchmark!

A new benchmark so high you will wonder why you haven't tried these sausages. I had deli doors mash and really sausages and mash has never tasted so good. I used the oven as directed and once cooked added the onion sauce to the sausages for 8 minutes 😋 incredible. They are on my fave list. Thankyou Delidoor.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
