The Moussaka is your traditional eggplant casserole made with baked eggplants, potatoes, a rich tomato lamb mince sauce and topped with a delicious made-from-scratch creamy béchamel sauce. In short, your ideal comfort food like we love cooking at Délidoor. Product delivered frozen. 800g, serves 2.

Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen product. Once defrosted, heat, and consume within 48 hours.

Please note these cooking instructions are merely a guide as different ovens may vary the cooking times. Feel free to heat a little longer if you feel necessary. Our cooking durations may be a little less than needed as we want to avoid any dishes being overcooked or burnt.

From thawed, preheat the oven to 180C, place the pie in your preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown.

If you want to test that the inside has warmed through, insert a temperature probe into the middle to see if it has reached 75C. If the middle is not warm enough, place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or until bubbling over. Once you are happy that it is heated through, remove from the oven.  

Great served with a side of Salad.

a bit more potato would be great. its very rich, with strong herbs taste, and a bit more potato would round up the strong flavour

Great value moussaka

Such a time-consuming dish to make at home! Delidoor takes the effort out and provides a delicious and nutritious alternative to home-made. I hope this one stays on the menu

Worth the wait.

Moussaka. Really good and very rich. The red wine helped cut through the richness. Beautiful, warming meal. Large serve and cooking instructions were spot on. Well pleased that it was in stock this time.

Big portion and great addition. Would love a bit more flavour and a veg only version of the moussaka

Mouthwatering

It's obvious that Delidoor chefs know what makes a great moussaka. But they also know what makes a memorable moussaka. One where every mouthful makes you long for the next—and the next. And the following day, you longingly remember each mouthful and how it made you feel. Delicious is too bland a word for this moussaka. It's luscious!
