Introducing the Traditional Cheese & Onion Pasty from Delidoor, a mouthwatering blend of comfort and culinary artistry. Each pasty is a testament to our commitment to quality, handcrafted in small batches by our seasoned chefs.

Our pasty is a symphony of flavours, with its heart brimming with perfectly caramelised onions and rich, creamy cheese. It's a simple combination, but one that's been carefully curated for maximum taste.

This isn't your average pasty. It's a labour of love, cooked from scratch using only the finest ingredients. No shortcuts, no preservatives, just wholesome goodness encased in a flaky, golden pastry.

And because we believe that good food should be enjoyed at your convenience, each pasty is snap-frozen at the peak of freshness. Ready to be heated and served whenever you crave a taste of home-style comfort with a dash of French 'savoir-faire'.

Enjoy it as is for a satisfying solo meal or pair it with a crisp green salad for a balanced family dinner. Either way, our Traditional Cheese & Onion Pasty is sure to bring a touch of warmth and joy to your table. Bon appétit!

How to cook & serve

Raw Frozen product. The dish must be baked from frozen

Oven method:

Brush with egg wash.

Put the pasty onto a lined baking tray and place it on middle shelf of oven and bake for 25 min on 190°C then 13 min on 170°C until pastry is golden and cooked through.

Your pasty should be a golden colour and juice emerging from the hole on top. As per tradition, the Cornish pasty is rolled with raw ingredients, so ensure the veggies are not too firm and the meat is cooked. Should you notice the crust browning too quickly, simply cover it with baking paper and continue baking at a slightly lower temperature until done.

Take your pasty out of the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before digging in.

The filling will be piping hot, so exercise a little patience for that perfect bite!

A tasty, filling lunch

The pastry is fantastic, even where it has been crimped it has a great texture. The potato is the highlight for me. I use an airfryer and don't use any egg wash and it's yummy.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
