Description

Introducing Traditional Moroccan Chicken Tajine with Couscous, a culinary journey to the vibrant heart of Marrakesh, right from your kitchen. Each bite is an adventure, crafted with care and cooked from scratch by our passionate chefs.

We start with succulent chicken thighs, slow-cooked to tender perfection in a rich tomato puree. But that's just the beginning. We then layer in a symphony of spices – turmeric, cumin, a hint of chili powder, and a whisper of cinnamon – to create that authentic Moroccan depth of flavour.

Our tajine wouldn't be complete without a medley of hearty vegetables. Sweet potatoes, zucchini, eggplant, and red capsicum are all invited to this flavour fiesta, each adding their unique touch to the mix. And let's not forget the chickpeas – these humble legumes bring a delightful texture and a boost of protein.

But what's a tajine without couscous? Our Moroccan Couscous Salad is no ordinary side. Fluffy couscous grains are tossed with red onions, zesty lemon juice, and aromatic fresh coriander. We add a touch of sweetness with dried apricots and sultanas, and a crunch with almonds. And of course, we couldn't resist adding butternut squash for that extra layer of comfort.

Finally, we seal in all the flavours and freshness with our snap-freezing process. So when you're ready to enjoy, it's as simple as heat and eat. With Delidoor, you're not just getting a meal – you're getting an experience. So go ahead, take a bite and let the magic of Morocco sweep you away.

How to cook & serve

Frozen product. It is recommended to reheat from thawed.

Microwave:

From Frozen: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 6-7 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

From Thawed: Peel a corner of the film, about 1 to 2 cm. Microwave for 3-4 minutes or until piping hot. Let it rest for 30 seconds before peeling the film completely off.

Heating time based on a 1000W microwave. Microwave ovens vary, adjust timing accordingly. After reheating the content, the tray itself will be very hot. Once opened, use immediately. DO NOT REHEAT.

Delicious

Delicious meal with authentic Moroccan flavours. Vegetables were so yummy that you don’t even need the chicken. I would love to have a vegetarian option for this! Served it with a side of cucumber and Greek yogurt to make a complete meal.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meals frozen?

Absolutely. We snap‑freeze within minutes of cooking so nutrients, texture and flavour stay locked in—no preservatives needed. This is the guarantee of delicious and nutritious meals.

How long will they last in my freezer?

Up to 5-6  months after delivery. Each label shows an Expiry Date; most families finish their favourites long before that!

Oven temperatures: Fan-forced vs. Conventional

All our oven reheating instructions are for fan‑forced ovens that’s the setting most Aussie households use.

  • Using a conventional (top‑and‑bottom) oven? Simply add 10 °C or allow an extra 5–10 minutes to reach the same result.

  • Unsure which oven you have? If your oven symbol shows a little fan, it’s fan‑forced. No fan means conventional.
Whichever mode you choose, always heat until the food is piping hot (above 75 °C) before serving.

How do I prepare the meals at home?

How do I prepare them?
Each product label describes the best method for the dish—choose oven, air‑fryer or saucepan for best results.

  • Oven / Air‑fryer (bakes, pies, lasagnes, quiches, pastries) – 30‑35 min at 180‑200 °C until piping hot and golden if reheated from thawed.

  • Saucepan (curries, stews, soups, sauces) – defrost pack, then warm gently 8‑10 min over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Microwave only for single‑serve meals when you’re truly short on time; 6‑8 min on medium‑high from frozen or 2-3min from thawed. We don’t recommend it for most dishes because rapid heating can dry the food and dull its flavour.

How long will the meals last in the fridge?

We deliver everything frozen for maximum freshness, so keep meals in the freezer until the day before you want them. Once thawed in the fridge (below 5 °C), you can keep them up to 2 / 3 days maximum.

Never refreeze a meal that's been thawed and always check the Expiry Date on the label for dish-specific guidance.

Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. On the main menu page, you'll find filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie meals. Please be aware that due to our single kitchen environment, trace amounts of allergens may be present.
I have allergies - can I trust the labels?

Yes. Full ingredient and allergen lists are printed on pack and online. Email us if you need extra detail.

Is your meat halal?

All our chicken, beef and lamb are sourced from halal‑certified suppliers. Meals themselves are not certified, as our kitchen is not a halal certified.

What about sodium, sugar or macros?

Nutrition panels for every dish are on each product page and dish label. We stick to home‑style seasoning—no hidden MSG, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives or other nasties.

Why frozen over "fresh chilled"

Freezing offers a preservative-free method of conservation and, when performed correctly, is also a gentle process for the product, so you can enjoy conveniently delicious, nutritious and preservatives free meals.
