This upside-down caramelized apple dessert is the most universally loved and recognised of all French desserts. Not just an apple pie but an upside-down apple pie called Tarte Tatin. Made from a buttery, slightly salty pastry dough it spotlights apples cooked to a rich and deep amber made of butter and sugar.

Preparation, cooking and serving instructions

Frozen product. 

From thawed, preheat your oven at 180 degrees and place your Tarte Tatin, pastry down on baking paper for 10 to 15min.

It can be served with Vanilla ice cream.

Just perfect

A perfect round of crisp pastry under perfectly caramelized apples, gently warmed, and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side, this tarte tatin was just ... perfect! Will definitely order again. So nice to have a restaurant quality dessert at home.
